  1. Hey everyone! We've taken a chance to address all the issues that arose from the last patch as well as fix a few of the remaining issues that players have brought to our attention. In addition, the spawn fixes included in this patch should also lead to an increase in server stability. We're continuing to work hard on finishing our skill update and have a lot fresh and interesting features in the works planned for future updates. Once the Skill Overhaul patch is released, I will host a community discussion regarding overhauling the Hyper Skills for all classes and update those skills accordingly in a following patch.   2. Hey there cuties, During this past week we've worked on fixing the majority of reported issues and implementing a series of requested features. In addition, to spice up our elite boss system, we've implemented the Phantom of Naricain as a new rare elite boss that has a chance of spawning upon summoning an elite boss. This new boss is featured from the latest versions of GMS and here in Orbyss provides players with more exclusive rewards, including the new Elite Boss Mystery Box. This new mystery box gives players to open a selected variation of item rewards for a cost of mesos, this box is only available the Phantom of Naricain. A few hyper skill changes have been made for now while we work on revamping the entire hyper skill system with the help of our community and a new damage calculation feature has been added to help players get a better understanding of their characters. For those of you who love pets; a bunch of all new exclusive pets have been made available through a gacha added to the Donor Shop along with the addition of permanent player AIs. We really hope you enjoy the new features and quality of life updates in this patch! PATCH NOTES & CHANGES UPDATE HIGHLIGHTS This update adds a whole new level of depth to the elite boss system, now upon killing enough elite monsters on the map, the Phantom of Naricain has a 20% chance to be summoned instead of one of the usual elite bosses. The Phantom is stronger than the other bosses, and although yields the same experience gain, provides drops of much higher rarity. Upon his death, the Phantom will drop one rare mystery box. COVID-19 REMINDER With the current situation regarding the spread of COVID-19, we would like to quickly remind you all to be sure to wash your hands after touching any surface or before touching your face. The virus can stay alive on a surface for several hours and even up to 1-3 days if the surface is made up of metal. In addition to staying clean, it is highly encouraged you do not leave your home unless necessary and practice social distancing (limit the number of people you come in contact with). Hello my children, For those of you who remember me from my previous projects, the development manifestos are back, and for those who don't know; manifestos are a format I use to present updates and future plans to the community! So this week we've been focusing hard on trying to find a way to improve solo play and make it more tolerable when compared to party play. We've come up with a player AI system to help compensate for solo players not having party members to assist them. These AI players feature jobs and characters from new versions and will be expanded on below. In addition to this change, we've increased the maximum burning character level in order to make early game leveling more enjoyable. A couple bugs and exploits have been addressed, and the request for same-gender marriage has been met with a new seamless wedding system. For the remainder of the changes, please refer to the list below. The vote reward shop has been overhauled with a serious of new or requested selections, every vote helps the server greatly and we want to ensure players feel rewarded for supporting server growth - so if you have any ideas or recommendations for additional vote rewards please feel free to let us know on our forums! PATCH NOTES & CHANGES PLAYER AI SHOWCASE Our favourite part of this update definitely has to be the new player AI. We've introduced a system where solo players can summon player AI featuring characters and jobs from future MapleStory versions. These AI have the ability to wander around targeting monsters using multiple skills from their respected job. To top things off and further aid solo players, these AI also have the ability to cast buffs, including Holy Symbol and an exclusive buff from their respected job branch. However these buffs are lower in strength to make sure solo play is not a replacement or superior play style to party play. Take a look at the following to get more familiar with this new feature. Player AI can be summoned through non-consumable USE items which can also be bind to your keyboard. Each AI can take 40 hits of damage and lasts 5 minutes until needing to be re-spawned. Upon summoning an AI player, they will appear at your characters location, you can use this to re-position your AI player quickly during game play. AI damage scales based on your characters stats and players gain 5% bonus EXP when playing with an AI summoned. Please note that AI summons can only be used without a party and on maps able to be claimed by the user.   4. Hey! This is something I want to implement but just haven't figured out at the moment. It requires making a series of client modifications at various addresses that I haven't found all references of yet. Whenever I do figure it out be sure that it will be implemented! A possible alternative could be increasing the base movement speed of ranged classes to make this less of an issue?
